Dust-Aid have tested the Platinum on multiple IDRS sensor filters with no affect to the internal dust removal system housing or sensor filter alignment.

The cleaning adhesive used to clean the Platinum silicone has been developed and tested not to transfer any of the adhesive to the silicone.

Dust-Aid Dust-Wand Kit
Dust-Aid Dust-Wand The Dust-Aid™ Dust-Wand™ kit provides a cost effective method to wet-clean the sensor in a Digital SLR.
The kit includes 3 re-useable Dust-Wands ( in 14,16 &18mm widths) to suit all sensors sizes. A pack of 50 Dust-Cloth™ cleaning wipes in a re-sealable bag, 3 retaining clips and a bottle of the new travel-safe Ultra-Clean™ fluid.
The kit allows the photographer to build a soft cleaning swab using a cleaning wipe, a wand and a retaining clip. Up to 50 swabs can be assembled using the kit and additional low-cost packs of cleaning cloths are available separately. These swabs are excellent at removing persistent marks from the sensor filter.
Note: Prior to using a Dust-Wand™ swab, it is important to remove all surface dust with Dust-Aid™ Platinum or other dust-removal method.

Why is speed important? With all the new internal dust removal system sensor housings there are some pretty big gaps where liquid can seep down in between the sensor filter frame and the internal components. By having a very fast evaporating liquid you almost eliminate this contamination concern.

Dust-Aid Dust-Cloth Microfibre
Dust-Aid Dust-Cloth Microfibre Designed for use with the Dust-Wand Kit and Ultra-Clean™
DUST-CLOTH™ MF's are made from a very soft weave of micro fibre cloth that has been tested repeatedly not to scratch sensor filters or their coatings.
Size: 7.5cm x 7.5cm approx. Pack of 50.
The main benefit to these micro fibre wipes is that they are designed not to produce loose fibres, which can occur when using non-woven wipes.
The sides of the wipes are heat sealed so fibres can't break free. When correctly wrapped onto a Dust-Wand™ only the centre part of the wipe is used, ensuring, the sealed edge will not come close to the sensor filter.
The Dust-Cloth MF wipes are also more absorbent than regular non-woven wipes which helps to reduce excess cleaning fluid escaping the wipe and seeping under the sensor filter frame.
