Camera Bivvy |
A major problem that faces users of DSLR’s
is dust on the sensor leading to spots on images. Changing lenses opens
up the camera to dust, some of which invariably finds it way onto the sensor,
often this leads to ruined images. To combat the problem, some photographers
are now shooting with multiple bodies, each with a different lens on, to
minimise lens changes and dust contamination. Many others never change
lenses at all!
Although the sensor can be cleaned with relative ease, it is not always
convenient to do so, particularly if when working in a dusty or damp environment.
Sometimes the photographer just needs to find a clean place to change a lens.
The CAMERA BIVVY is a low cost and
extremely light pop-up tent that provides a convenient, protected environment
to change a lens or clean the camera sensor. Weighing less than 120g (4oz)
and only 16cm (6in) in diameter, CAMERA BIVVY is small and light, yet it
instantly pops up to form a 30cm (12in) protective cube. Simple armholes,
with elastic seals provide easy access as does a zip closure. A clear front
window lets the user see clearly into the tent.
For most everyday situations, lens changing is a simple matter, but when
working in harsh climates, or poor environmental conditions CAMERA BIVVY
is a useful tool to minimise contamination and the risk of ruining an expensive
shoot. |
