Beattie Intenscreens have been helping photographers for many years. They are a complete replacement focusing screen for a wide range of cameras from 35mm to large format. Compared to a normal screen they offer up to 4 f-stops more light - variable depending on the camera/lens combination and the ambient conditions. However, the less the light, the more the benefit.The production of Intenscreens is complex and combines a high quality corrective element with a special surface coating resulting in the transmission of 90% of the light in a much tighter cone of 20deg. compared with around 120deg. in the case of a normal screen. The effect is an image which is extremely bright and clear.The unique qualities of an Intenscreen give excellent focus contrast resolving power with light gains over the entire surface of the screen.

All screens are supplied with a protective cover plate and are normally gridded. Plain screens are also available.

Fitting an Intenscreen is a very simple operation in almost all cases and can be carried out by the user in seconds. Instructions are supplied with the screen and should be used in conjunction with the cameras own instructions. Only in cameras with fixed screens where an Intenscreen is available would we normally advise fitting by a skilled technician.
